Yesterday I did my first day/night of filming my coloured lightning shots, using both pink and green lightning. During the day I mainly filmed in my bedroom using the pink lightning as well as experimenting with shots outside. I let my ‘cast’ improvise and do whatever they wanted whilst I filmed as that is what I find looks most authentic on film. I also shot outside and found myself struggling to come up with ideas of what to film and wished I had planned it out a bit more. However in saying that I still managed to get shots I therefore wouldn’t have gotten if I had actually planned shots. I like the authenticity of the shots and found the coloured lightning worked really well. At night my other friend came and I filmed in my bedroom again this time with green lightning, which looked really good in the dark.

I’m hoping I will get another chance to shoot more shots which I would like to shoot in my garage and possibly staircase area. I think I should also more through planning through via storyboards so that I am more organised.
