What I like about this music video is its use of text to create a specific narrative within the music video. Accompaniment with the music, we see visuals of a short story which follows a girl who is a going to prom with a boy named Tommy. As they drive to prom they are followed by a car and discuss their fears that it is the mysterious ‘reds’. Later we find out the the main girl is in fact one of ‘them’ and her date is horrified. As she tries to run away from her date and school mates she finally is found by the other ‘reds’. The use of text as well as colour in the music video helps explain the concept of the visuals as well intensifying the lyrics of the music.
