In today’s class we took another look at sound and recording devices. We got to experiment with the Zoom H2/N recorder
Problems we encountered in recording different sound was being able to get a clear crisp sound without any background interference, which was a bit difficult in the uni grounds. There was also a recording in which we turned the volume to high and got that horrible high pitched screeching noise.
The most successful recordings were the ones which has clear crisp sounds such as the birds chirping, as we were able to get close enough to a tree full of birds.
I discovered the basic technique of using the microphone as well as setting levels based on the sound levels of your environment.
