In my self-portrait I chose to represent myself through aspects on my environment as well as attempting to give a insight on the sort of person I am.

I believe the above quote by Vincent Van Gogh depicts myself as someone who takes great passion in the things they love and does not enjoying being unoccupied or bored. It also aims to communicate my general outlook on life to live passionately and adventurously.

The first image shows my desk, which is where I go first thing in the morning to do my makeup. The messy state of my desk also aims to show how I am naturally a messy person. The second image is my wrist with a marking on it, this marking is from resting my hands on my laptop. The red marks are actually imprints of the corner of my laptop, which aims to represent how much time I spend on my laptop; enough to leave marks. The third image is my shadow which believe is an interesting way of showing an image of my physicality without taking a generic ‘seflie’.The last image shows myself reading a book on the train and also show the end of my headphone cord. This aims to show my interest in reading and listening to music.

The two sound recordings are of surrounding environment which I experience often. The first is me walking to the station where you can hear the wind, background noise and the sound of my walking. The second recording is the sounds and noises of a bus trip.

The first video shows the window of train in motion. I find myself on the train often and I really like how the reflection shows only a tiny bit of the top of my head as to not show my entire face. The second video is a clip of myself throwing a ball with my dog. This video aims to show my love for my pets and animals and an insight into my daily activities.
