In this weeks workshop, we were tasked with assessing each other’s blogs – once again using the hats method to evaluate some sample blog posts. My table did not get around to critiquing mine – which at the time I was happy about given that I really don’t find enjoyment in watching as others critique my work and ask me to elaborate on ideas.

I later wondered why this was, when blogs are public forums. I believe it has something to do with my personality. While I can occasionally have the meaning of my messages lost in what I say, I often try to say only things which I mean to reveal. Elaboration is not a strong point of mine as I am to be as succinct as possible in what I say.

Another reason I struggled through the workshop was my ever-growing lunchtime hunger and the need to have this satiated, as at the time I was only just over 24 hours away from an ice hockey grand final.

We also viewed some sample pieces for the project brief 2. While these pieces did not directly influence my final cut, they did provide me with a starting point for how I could go about structuring this piece and what the standard of work I needed to reach was.

I left class fairly early, however – to go an appease my appetite before my next class. Long story short, I need bigger morning teas on Thursdays.

Oh, and in case you’re not a facebook friend or social media follower and haven’t been subjected to seen the copious number of photos I have uploaded or been tagged in — we won the grand final 🙂
