In today’s workshop, we presented our first assignments to our table; and used the ‘many hats’ evaluation method to discuss each other’s work.

It was quite an interesting exercise, and one I think my group and I found challenging. So much of my reviewing of content comes from a lot of different areas; so to just focus on giving one type of feedback was difficult. I also enjoyed viewing my group members’ work – as this exercise allowed me to have a little bit more insight into the lives of the people I am in this course with.

It was also interesting to hear the comments/criticism given to my work. Some pieces I felt were weaker were well-recieved; while pieces I thought were good were criticised. I think this shows that often a second opinion is invaluable.

We then went out into the city for a brief period to shoot some footage for haiku videos as our Premiere exercise. As someone with a fair bit of experience in Premiere, I look forward to completing this exercise and hopefully producing some interesting work.

EDIT – 15/3

I have completed the Haiku and embedded it below. In hindsight I should have used some audio transitions with the dip to black transition, just to smooth out the edit a little bit.

EDIT – 22/3

Re-uploaded the haiku due to a clip left undeleted in the previous version
