“Blogs in Media Education” by Adrian Miles
This reading was all about explaining what is a blog, how a blog works, and why we use one. It is a way for Media students to perform sophisticated forms of networking and achieve direct and collateral learning outcomes. Before I read this reading I was still unsure about this whole concept, however after Adrian explained all areas of blogging, I can now say that it is a whole lot clearer.
One point that I struggled with in the Lab was the definition of a Blogroll, however this reading explains this to be “A list of other blogs that the author regularly reads”.
It was said that a blog is a useful way to document our practice and to reflect and process the content that is being learnt. Most of all, a blog is a public document. You are writing posts that people will read.
