ROUGH CUTS

ROUGH CUTS

Viewing everyone’s rough cuts was a great learning experience. I loved some of the group’s visions and styles. Some group’s shots were particularly engaging, which was great as we are about to commence our final shoot this Sunday!

Rohan said our video had good potential I believe, though we have to work diligently; so we do not fall behind.  We have a lot of work to do in regards to colour coding, however, the majority of the class agreed that our clips were pretty good!

I gathered that putting a black and white filter over the green screen scenes would be of benefit, to mask the green cast left over from the lighting. Hopefully, this will also enhance the nostalgic, old-timey, vibe that we are attempting to enhance. It seems that I have most of the skills in regards to keying, in the group. So I will probably be working mostly on keying and fixing those scenes during our next editing session.

I’m glad that all the groups seem to be on track; it was really great seeing the footage everyone had filmed and the techniques they utilised. Not only did I learn from the feedback given to my group, but the feedback given to each group as a whole. Like; to how to overlay different effects or construct different emotions within a scene. Overall, the session was beneficial to the entire class, even to those who weren’t able to present! In succession with this, our group had a short meeting in the editing suites after our presentation in regards to the shoot on Sunday. It seems that Olivia and I are the only ones are able to attend; this only slightly worries me, as we have a large cast which is always willing to help out, and even more, people will be coming to this shoot than the last. Hopefully, everything will be okay, and we will have enough cameras.
