The Haiku Kid

The Haiku Kid

Our task for this week’s workshop was to create a visual haiku which would allow us to test and build our skills on Adobe Premier Pro. I was pretty confident in my use of the program since I have been using it since high school, and made both my YR11 and Yr12 films using it.

So in this project I thought I would put my existing capabilities to the test, whilst revamping my knowledge and experimenting with some colour hue altering effects, video transitions, and mirroring techniques. My haiku is very abstract, as none of these shots form a conventional narrative for people to follow, however I love seeing film which is solely art and nothing more. It was quite refreshing working with other people’s footage as opposed to my own, as you had to think on your feet about what you wanted to create.
