So, in my photojournalism class this week I listened to a podcast of a war photographer experience. I forgot where she went, but she is from New York times and she went to the war zone for her job. So, that time as a war photographer, she has to keep shooting her camera in whatever situations she’s in. Until there’s a moment when the situation is so hard for everyone, she had to defend herself and kept shooting her camera, suddenly someone from the military told her to stop shooting the camera and she was like “but I have to” but she was too afraid to say that until one of the soldiers said “keep shooting, someone needs to capture this moment”. When I listen to that, I feel like I understand her emotion and I also feel the tension of that moment, even though the audio is only from her telling her story. But it seems real.
