It’s been a while since I post something on my blog, and today I’ll give this honour to discuss my first week reading from networked media, Adrian Miles – blogs in media education. I should say that I can relate to almost every points in that reading. It is true that ‘we’ need time to adjust to this new literacy, as for me, I’m still adjusting myself to blog although it has been two years since I started it, yeah, everything takes time. There is one point from the reading that interests me the most:

“Blogs can help you to recognize that your work is able to make a contribution to a larger community – Adrian Miles”

While reading that, I realise how true and relatable it is. I remember I had this assignment in photography where I have to find some work that inspires me and I have no idea where to find it, cause I was new to that world. Thanks to Instagram and hashtag features, I found some amazing work. Well, in this case, is not me who contribute to the community, but it was the user that I found that has contributed to the community.

After reading that, and some discussion that we had in the last tutorial. I realised, Instagram has become a tool for people to share what they want, and it becomes a workplace for some people or a digital art gallery.
