One can’t deny how culture is directly or indirectly linked with technology. Culture has effect on the advances of technology while technology changes different aspects of culture.

I thought it was interesting that Tourism/Travel is related to this as well. Back before the Internet existed, countries were less linked. Even though they could be physically linked by the different modes of transport, you wouldn’t have been able to get real time information from the different countries. However as technology progressed, we are able to receive information as soon as its sent out. For example, the past year has been unfortunately plagued with many plane crashes. People all over the world are able to get live updates almost simultaneously despite us not being in that particular country.

With technology, things like sports events, Olympics or global games can be broadcasted to almost every nation. People are able to share their views and basically everything on the Internet.

Take for example this video, it’s a video about Singapore & Malaysia, made in America and I’m viewing it in Australia. The internet has made it possible to share our cultures with the world.
