A reading on databases.

Seen as a form of cultural expression in the computer age, a database differs greatly to previous forms of cultural expression as it doesn’t aim to tell a narrative. A database appears to have no beginning, middle or end, being completely empty of any form of development or theme.

The reading seems to suggest that the internet itself could be considered a database. This being because they are made up of individual elements, all of which contribute to a whole. Furthermore, the internet can constantly be edited and added to/subtracted from, meaning it’s potential to grow as a database is arguably infinite.
