Pitching a random’s idea – True to Form #11

In Thursdays class we were tasked with writing up a draft for our pitch/presentation, the class was given an allocated amount of time and some prompting questions. I came up with a short draft (post #9) but at the time I was still a little bit confused on what I wanted my animation to look like/if I wanted it to be abstract or story driven so I struggled with the exercise.

This struggle made it difficult to complete the second exercise competently, which was to relay our idea to a small group of classmates and then pitch a classmate’s idea for them. I struggled with  telling people my idea because at present all I have is the form/technique I want to undertake and I want the content to form more organically after I’ve tested the technique and am confident with it.

On the other hand, it was really interesting hearing my classmates ideas and it kind of made me want to want to put more of a concentrated effort into working towards my idea and also, thinking about what I want to have accomplished through this investigation.
