Pitch Reflection – True to Form #15

The pitching happened on Tuesday, which was a very nerve-wracking experience for me as I loathe public speaking. Paul made it easier as he allowed us to approach the pitch in any way that we wanted. So I decided to just play the short film that inspired me, Caroline Leaf’s The Street, and sit down to casually read out my pitch. I think it went as well as most of my speeches go, I get shaky and stutter a little – it’s all very par-for the course at this point.

Andrea suggested for me to check out a experimentalist stop-motion filmmaker and Robin urged me to look into a stop-motion software to make the process easier. Paul suggested that because I want to capture the theme of a journey that perhaps I could do a making of piece, which is something I’ve done in the past and is definitely something I can look into as I was thinking of documenting the process anyway.

I’m glad that the pitches are out of the way, so that I can focus now on buying the supplies and doing some tests to deliver on what I proposed in my speech.
