In today’s workshop Brian discussed what the email from Rachel meant about the studio session and what to expect from it. He told us about the ballot process and what to do if we couldn’t make the day. I’m excited to go to the information session as I’ve spoken to some second and third years in our course who have told me that if you know what you want to do in the future and have a clear trajectory, the studio can be an amazing experience and can help you out alot. This is good for me as I know what I want to do but it’s not so good for those who don’t know area they want to go into.
Then we discuss some of the ways to approach PB4 and the different methods of citingĀ audio sources. Hearing that some of the other students have already recorded their audio was a good motivator for my group and so go together and laid out what we want to do exactly. We divided into paragraphs/topics so I’m going to be scripting the historical/social context of gender in comic books and how that is portrayed in screen adaptions. We also decided that on Monday after the lectorial we would go and spend half an hour going over our notes and determine our approach to recording it. Then we’re going to find a booth in the RMIT studios and record it.
I felt like we had a productive workshop and that we can get everything done for the rough cut due next week.
