This weeks lectorial was all about institutions and the role they play within our macro and micro world. These institutions are companies such as Facebook, Apple, ABC etc, who have huge power over the production of technology and media within todays society. Through this they wield great power and control over the general population which is sort of a terrifying prospect.

Some points put forward about institutions were:

1. The concern with organising structures of society.
2. Social, cultural, political, economic relations.
3. The rules, principals and values which underlie these.

We also went over our PB4 video essay, which was really useful because I needed some inspiration or at least a starting off point for my group. We spoken to about the ideas and approaches towards structure, breaking formality and exploration.
