Media 1 Practical [Week 4]

In our Week 4 Practical class, we were given time to continue editing our 1 minute video self-portrait assignments. I was feeling a little behind regarding ideas however, and I spent a lot of time experimenting with different ways to edit and present my collected media. At the end of the class I had decided to continue to collect photos, videos and audio recordings, to give myself a more diverse ‘selection’ of media to work with.

It was useful to discuss and share with those around me, my different ideas and problems regarding the project and I was glad to see that I wasn’t the only one finding it challenging to find ways to represent my personality through a short 1 minute video.

I’m writing this as my finished project renders, so at the moment I’m feeling fairly relieved that my first video project at RMIT is complete. I’ll save my reflection on the project for another post, so for now this’ll be it.

For this post’s video, I’ll share a short (10 minute) comedy film that I stumbled upon a year ago. Worth a watch, it’s really funny and I think the ending credit sequence is great. Be warned, there’s a fair amount of ‘adult language’, so probably don’t watch it with your 8 year old cousin.
