In our seminar last week, we discussed the readings for the week, which was helpful because, as I mentioned earlier, I really didn’t understand the second reading, and its relevance to the topic. But with a detailed explanation from Rachel, I was able to actually get a blog post written about it, even with notes literally written like this:
How reading 2 is relevant:
- Institutions have quality (affordances)
- Qualities have relation to Government
- Have their own values – Corporate, Brand
- Rules/regulations
- Strategies/Tactics
But after that, we split off into groups, and Rachel came around to each table to check up on how we’re going. We were all kind of worried because it’s really difficult to be able to tell what Rachel approves of and disapproves of, but at least she could point us in some direction.
We found out that we were focusing on the wrong part; we had planned most of our video essay, but she wanted us to focus on the audio essay first. That’s okay, it just means we’re slightly ahead with that part. But she approved of the content and structure of everything so far, which was a relief.
