For some reason, Media 1 seemed very in synch with Intro to Cinema studies last week. I don’t know if it’s just by pure coincidence, or that they planned this before the start of the year. Maybe every week has been like this, but I’m just too distracted to notice. Either way, a lot of the discussion in our lectorial this week was about the narrative form. I’ll be honest, I found this one a little difficult to follow with what Seth was talking about because I was exhausted that day, but for some reason, I was able to follow his explanation of the linear structure over the non linear.

Other than that, we were also given a talk from Rachel about collaboration in regards to project brief four. I feel like working collaboratively will be more beneficial for me, and not just due to the fact that our work is divided. I believe that through working collaboratively, with the right encouragement from each team member, everyone will be motivated to get the work done before the deadline. It’s also beneficial because it’s good to learn about different approaches towards these types of assignments, and it’s refreshing to see things from a different point of view. I just hope that I don’t let my group down.
