So, this week I started Uni again.
“Again? But this is only your first year!” Yes, I am in first year, but I did do Live Production here at RMIT last year.
“Why am I doing this course?” Well, it’s a long story, so if you’re not willing to read it, feel free to just skip ahead:
Back when I graduated from high school in 2014, I enrolled for the Diploma of Screen and Media, but I didn’t make the cut. Instead, I ended up doing the Cert IV in Live Production and Technical Services, which I planned to then use as leverage into the Diploma for the next year. And so when enrollment time came around at the end of 2015, I still had my eye on the Diploma, but I had found this course as well, which I found to be even more focused on what I wanted to do. Even though I doubted my chances of being accepted into the Bachelor course, I still enrolled because, why the hell not? Anyway, while I doubted my chances, I received two emails at the same time. One of them said “You were not accepted into the Diploma of Screen and Media”, and the other said “You were accepted into the Bachelor of Communication Media”. And now, here I am.
“Where do you see yourself in three years?” Graduating from this course, obviously! But in regards to my future, I hope I can start off small, working in a TV studio somewhere, and slowly make my way up the rankings.
“You’ve passed the word count, what are you going to do?” I’m going to finish up this post.
So, here’s to Uni, and here’s to not failing.
