Despite having to conduct this interview remotely, I found this conversation with Claudia to be extremely insightful. She rejects this female rivalry by mentoring aspiring filmmakers and celebrating the success of other women, which is something I found really encouraging. Although the lack of opportunity may be driving this competition, Claudia’s positive outlook proves that we also have the choice to reject this culture by supporting other women.
