Despite living in a quiet suburban street in Melbourne, Genoveva can still recall the sounds of war. After hundreds of years of colonial rule by Portugal, Timor-Leste’s fight for independence was stronger than ever until the Indonesian military invaded the country in 1975. With her husband leading the charge for freedom, Genoveva and her family had no option but to try and seek refuge. INVASION is a short documentary that highlights the experience of those living in a country full of war and injustice.
