Fragments In Time
What is it about a particular space that can foster such a strong sense of community? My exploration looks at understanding how identity is created through cultural aspects of a community, and in turn, to what degree culture of community is informed by the space is exists in. Using four lenses on an 80’s film camera, Fragments of Time captures intimacy of the communal experience of a gig at The Tote and layers it with movement in an attempt to immortalize and preserve these moments. These are pictures of nothing and of everything when the interplay between people and their environment is in action.
