Week#7 Workshop

This week’s workshop has two elements.

Firstly, we’ll be looking at rough cuts of Project Brief 3.

Secondly, we’ll be consolidating our visual story writing and filming skills with a shooting exercise loosely inspired by the White Gloves film festival. In this exercise you create/write/shoot a short 1-2 minute film completely in-camera. The motivation here is to get your film idea solidly planned and imagined *before* you go out and shoot … and not try to  ‘write’ in the edit itself. It ramps up some of what we did last week with the single shot exercise by giving you more shot options/flexibility. And overall if you want to be a good media maker you just need to keep making more stuff, regularly and with different collaborators.
