How or why might this studio matter into a future? YMMV
- in your working life times you will have to recognise and acknowledge the enmeshedness of everything, and this entails new obligations – to the people that make our media machines, to the machines that make our media machines, and to the sources of materials and energies that make our media machines possible
- being able to notice the agency and materiality of our instruments (what we use to do) will make you a better user/player/choreographer of and with those instruments
- we are now in a world that recognises the enmeshed of things and we have a planetary protocol (the internet) that lets this do/be/happen. As a consequence media is no longer single artefacts but a practice of porous, variable flows between different things, being able to identify, participate in, faciltiate, and make for these flows is more important than the artefacts they swirl around (audiences make media artefacts, it is no longer that artefacts make audiences)
