This is a great read. Note the things in there, that we tend to privilege what matters to us as the measure of other things. (I know of some meat eaters who refuse to eat calamari because they’re too smart and well adapted a species to eat.) While the article emphasises mind and thought (species exceptionalism still?), as an evolved species they leave us looking useless. 8 arms with brains in each arm, three hearts, their eyes work like our cameras (not our eyes), and they can change their colour to suit their surroundings. They are seriously well adapted.
