Q: Isn’t it better (more real) if you don’t edit the blog posts?
A: Always depends. In other words there is no black and white answer to this. Sometimes a post is better if edited, sometimes it doesn’t need it. “more real”, is real a scale of things or is ‘real’ something black and white? (what is something that is not real?)
Q: What is a rabbit warren?
A: This. (This is one that Google can answer in under a second….. Just sayin.)
Q: What is a black box.
A: Any thing (object, machine, system) that has inputs and outputs but what happens between is hidden from view or unknown. Eg. how you learn. What your iPhone is doing right now. Creativity. Perhaps how a film is made. Learning how to see inside these black boxes is perhaps the most significant thing that reflective practice is about since reflectiv practice is premised on your own practice being, at the moment, a black box.
Q: What program does Adrian use to decipher all the blogs he follows into one page?
A: This is a flow of things. 1. all blogs provide an RSS feed which you can subscribe to using 2) a RSS subscription program or service, I pay to use 3) Feedly (think of this is like a gmail account) to subscribe to lots of blogs and then I use 4) Reeder as desktop client (like I can view my gmail using Mail or some other email program) to read. Lots of web browsers these days can manage RSS subscriptions all by themselves. I use Reeder only because it then lets me do more things with the blog posts (keep them, send them somewhere to be kept, reply, etc).
