Greetings fellow Media Comms peers !

This week there was quite a buzz in class as we encountered our first rehearsal of our TV Comedy News segments. Our three larger groups have been scripting, researching and now producing (yay!) a TV Comedy News segment on the issue of ‘Pay Secrecy’. Now, obviously we don’t want to give too much away of our production so we’ve prepared a behind-the-scenes ~exclusive~ look at what we got up to in the Building 5 Studios. Enjoy the video below !

For many of us, this is our first opportunity engaging in a real TV studio environment. We are gaining experience in working in specific crew roles like operating the cameras (much different to the handheld and photographic cameras we have used in our degree so far), audio operations (a vital communication system in the studio environment), and crew roles such as Direction and Vision switching. This week’s class proved really helpful in challenging us to put our training to use !
