My film was shot down at the local Albert Park Sailing Club (The Boatshed). It provides its audiences with an insight into the unique sport of sailing, through interviews from the Manager and Instructors as well as participants. Filmed over six weeks, my main focus with this project was on the colours and lighting. Being an outdoor project there were many obstacles such as windy or rainy weather which made it almost impossible to film at times.
I have aimed to craft a documentary of a participatory nature that demonstrates a unique community activity, in a suburb not too far from the city. Many people do not even know about sailing and the lessons. However many corporates, schools and even adults participate in this program throughout the warmer months.
