Simon Finn, 40-years-old, lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. He grew up on the Mornington Peninsula, and is planning to relocate back to the coast where he will continue to practice art. His art is mainly inspired by the environment as a whole. Driven by his passion for the marine environment, it is evident that Finn captures the collision and the breakdown of matter of his surroundings.
Finn’s interest in art started as far back as some early comic books and has been drawing and making sculptures. Art came to him when he was on a school excursion at National Gallery of Victoria when his younger self was intrigued by a painting by Peter Booth. Since then, Finn found himself immersed in the art world; walking the major galleries of the world.
