My interest in this studio was and continues to be derived from my own personal interests and aspirations in journalism and thus allowed me a unique outlet to express myself in this genre. The experience of Radio’s New Wave has really allowed me to expand my skills in recording and producing sound and has put me in a position of exploring different ways to convey a narrative, topic, conversation and personality. It’s definitely not something I think I’m all that good at, but the confidence this studio has given me in a media form I’ve never really delved into previously is so invaluable. The quality of work that is displayed both in the readings and submitted by my peers has been really inspiring and I think we’ve all learnt something from each other.
