Tail Chasing

I reckoned the studio, after one week, needed a reboot. Tuesday wasn’t quite the full reboot. A lot of talking not enough making. Also realising the shape of the classroom isn’t good for this sort of work. Everyone is so scattered. Make do, that’s the mantra. And I really like the question that came out of last Friday:

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THINKING ABOUT WHAT THINGS ARE AND WHAT THINGS MEAN?

Yes, all caps. It needs to be shouted.

Meanwhile, the “gentle knot of the comma”. A list is all “and, and, and”, not “or, or, or”, and not “not, not, not”. It affirms not negates. It has no teleology, unlike narrative. This makes it powerful.
