Week 3 Notes

From Michael:

Discussing the environment of the classroom. The orientation of the classroom we are currently in is not ideal for the kind of work that we do in this studio. Everyone is scattered and facing a different way making it difficult for people to focus. Someone can be talking on one side and another person can be reading on the other side of the classroom. To have a more productive discussion, we sat in a circle. It was basic but effective.

We discussed and reflected on each individual’s Assessment 1. Remember to have the meaning of the object come second and focus on the material of it.

Referencing: Adrian isn’t fuss about the way we reference since we are only at an undergraduate level of education. Adrian simply wants to know where you get your information from.

Evernote:
It’s available as an app on both PC and Mac as well as mobile devices such as Apple devices and android. Not sure about Windows Phone. It’s also available on the web browser if it’s not installed on the device.
Evernote is also an extension on a web browser. You can document the web pages you are using onto evernote using the extensions.
Model of Information today. Collection then curation.
Evernote can also do but not very well is that some notes are related to other notes. On evernote you can curate it. You can search for text and you can find all the notebooks that contain that word. It’s simple to use. You can pay for the professional account but there is a free version. There is no limit on how much content you have on it but there is a limit on how much you can upload every month.

If your thing has rights, what matters to it?
